COVID-19 GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS
The Greater Keene Youth Baseball and Softball Association will hold youth baseball and softball following all State and CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please click HERE to review our guidelines.
We will require our coaches to have their temperature taken prior to every practice. The no-touch thermometers will be kept in the Snack Shack and two coaches will meet there before practice to take and log each other’s temperatures.
Coaches will clean all equipment at the beginning and end of practice as well as prior to and after use by youth
Coaches will remind parents and youth to bring their own equipment and will ensure groups of 9 youth remain 6’ apart or wear masks if this can not be maintained. Equipment should be placed 6’ or more apart as well.
Coaches will clean all equipment that is used by more than one youth after every use and ensure youth use hand sanitizer or wash hands after using shared equipment.
Coaches will screen youth by asking the following screening questions:
Have you been exposed to COVID-19?
Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
Do you have a cough, sore throat?
Do you have any new muscle or body aches?
Any youth who respond “yes” to any questions will be sent home
Coaches will ensure youth wash hands or use hand sanitizer after touching face, coughing, sneezing etc.
Coaches will ensure no use of dugouts or bleachers during practice.
Coaches will ensure no chewing or spitting of seeds etc occur during practice.
Coaches will ensure youth do not switch groups or mingle with more than the group of 9 youths they are assigned to during practice.
